The Purple writer is prophetic
Names are powerful
Ever had a nickname while in school? I did—a lot, in fact. I didn’t start to go by the name “The Purple Writer” until my later days at the university. I can count the number of people that call me the name now — very few.
In fact, if anyone does, I will ask, “Where did you hear or see that?” I cherish the sacredness of the name because it was given to me by God. Although I never knew God gave me the name from the jump.
My general belief was, I called myself The Purple Writer because purple is one of my favorite colors and I’m a writer, an author, in fact. It made a lot of natural sense when the name came to mind.
The Lord began to unveil the meaning of “the purple writer” to me through scriptures and experiences. It started with the scripture that came to me in a dream
But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A CONSECRATED NATION, A [special] PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9
The bold words struck me: “I’m God’s royal priest, His excellency, a holy nation” that is set apart for God.
The Imperial state crown of the late Queen of England is purple. It is common knowledge that purple is a symbol of elite status, which stems from the rarity and cost of the dye originally used to produce it.
So, it made sense that God (having the mindset of royalty) had me associate myself with purple and other royal appearances. If you know me personally, you would notice as clear as day that I lean towards royalty (my love for corporates, hats, jewelry and beads, and my general behavior)

Names are not mistakes, they’re prophetic. While I’m all euphoric about the name, I cannot negate the responsibility laid on me to “proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds, virtues, and perfections] of Him who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
Oh, what a responsibility, to be a priest—God’s own servant empowered by the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel! My priesthood responsibility is to shine the light of Jesus in business, career, and ministry. To be Jesus' salt — seasoning the earth and His Light, dispelling darkness.
I don’t know the name you bear, but I know the royal assignment you have—to be God’s light. My prayer for you is to find your royal purpose in Jesus and fulfill it with the help of the Holy Spirit.
After these things I looked, and this is what I saw: a vast multitude which no one could count, [gathered] from every nation and from all the tribes and peoples and languages [of the earth], standing before the throne and before the Lamb (Christ), dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands;
