My faith is stopping me from being rich.

Being a Christian in the business world.

For someone who is super-creative and business-minded, I give a lot for free. My mom insists I learn to bill people as due. I don’t disagree with her. However, there are things I do for people that I believe I don’t need to charge. I love and enjoy doing them.

It wasn’t until this year that I began to charge friends for business and creative writing—something that I started with God’s approval.

Even when I authored “The 7th Floor,” I charged a small amount because I wanted the money to go towards the different projects God had given me to work on.

Have individuals exploited this situation?

Yes!

However, I’m delighted that I now understand how to serve God and still make money in regard to business and the kingdom.

Raising the bar

For most believers, raising the bar for what you deserve can feel like extortion, and it can also make them feel guilty, but it’s wise to know what you and your business are worth.

Non-believers and even some believers have this opinion about Christians in business. It is expected that we reduce our prices or offer it for free.

Christianity does not have a widespread understanding of prosperity.
Most pastors are too afraid to broach the subject. People say they're as poor as a church rat, so I don't blame them.

People of faith are not connected with wealth, riches, fame, etc. And we believers catch this mentality, too. We have allowed society to confine us to a life of poverty, because we think that living humbly requires “prudence, hush-hush, mediocrity, etc”. We downplay and limit ourselves, calling it “Christianity”

That is not true! Every Christian has been called into wealth by Christ. God has put us on the earth to rule and reign, even the secret riches of the kingdom has been handed to us.

I reject mediocrity! I don’t think my modesty should keep me from speaking, and I don’t think my Christian faith should turn me into a beggar.

Christianity has no look other than what the bible says. Period!

The covenant right of Christians is to succeed in everything they undertake. I won't accept less in my Christianity. I won't accept being a pupper. It's against the Bible.

I don't believe I've ever experienced a lack in all the years I've been in business. Freely given, have I freely received and Priced, have I bountifully been blessed.

If you have been guilty of charging less than what is due to you because of your faith, this is God asking you to RAISE THE BAR.

“When people work, they earn wages. It can’t be considered a free gift, because they earned it.”
Romans 4:4 TPT
