Dear overachievers,
Pause.
Breathe in. Breathe out.
Take a step.
Then, take another step.

You must make this a habit. I can understand the feeling of accelerating ambitions in 2023 since the year 2022 has just come to an end.

It’s possible that 2022 didn’t dot all the “i’s” and cross all the “t’s.” However, 2023 is not the year to make up for lost time. This year, resolve to do and be better.

Don’t let 2022’s baggage drag you down. Give yourself a clean slate by dropping them.

Be mindful of unwarranted competition, it’s not a kingdom thing. Have a mindset void of “if I don’t succeed at this, no one else should”

Yes, there will be people who will do what you do, be more recognized, and make more money than you. You must learn to find fulfillment in this in order to stop striving.

If you need to, take a break. Don't rush through life's experiences.

Consistency is better than speed

Accept little victories and intermittent success with satisfaction. Your small achievement is another person’s most remarkable feat. Likewise, don’t settle for being small. Exercise influence in the position God has placed you in. Become the phenomenal person you know you can be.

Don’t give up when you realize your goals are more difficult than you anticipated. Don’t give up when you fail. Success is built on the bricks of failure. Don’t give up when you’re not cheered on for your labour.

People don’t celebrate processes, they celebrate finished work.

Along the way, treat yourself. Celebrate your accomplishments, both big and small.

Be mindful of compliments, praises, and fame. Don’t let it get into your head. Don’t settle for the level of greatness for which you’re praised. Be humble and aspire to be greater.

The greatest enemy of success is your last one

Execute your goals. It’s very easy to set goals, but very difficult to turn dreams into successful results. It takes persistence and relentlessness. It would be best if you were stubborn about your plans and flexible about the details, or it would be effortless to give up.

Some people will make you feel stupid for being ambitious or having big goals. Get used to it and wear the labels as a cloak, because this is the most you'll ever be. Your goals will only get bigger as the days go by.

This year, you have to stop dancing around the boundaries of who God intended you to be and the assignment given to you.

Challenge the rationale. Raise the bar higher than usual. Fight back against the unimaginable. Be a force to be reckoned with.

Eliminate all outside distractions. Do not allow anything or anyone to divert you from your course. Don’t let your feelings rule your life. Stay focused and solid.

Look forward at all times

This year, don’t box yourself in and don’t hide behind the shadow of your bright destiny. Move your silent dreams from your mind’s pages and into a physical reality by taking a step in their direction.

The journey has begun, take a leap of faith and don’t stop until you get to the finish line.

“Behold (hear Me), I have put My words in your mouth.

See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,

To uproot and break down,

To destroy and to overthrow,

To build and to plant.” — Jer 1:9-10

Hey! You can now tip me in local and international currencies for those who waited this long. I’m very excited about this because I’ve always wanted to earn in foreign currencies and be able to afford materials that will help me become a better writer and better serve you. Be the first person to make this a reality.
